Now I'm not one to adapt to much else than what I'm used to (drawing and photography-semi), and when I heard I had to do printmaking and painting, I freaked.
My first week consisted of me staring at a white canvas, which, mind you, was FREAKING HUGE!!!
My teacher then came up to me, and told me to paint a base colour. I chose grey because it's easy to cover up (hehe).
So for a week I painted this canvas grey, trying to avoid touching it more than I actually had to.
Anyway, four weeks on, this canvas in nearly finished, and to my shock and amazement, I'm not as bad as I thought I was!
And I guess the same punch line works with printmaking aswell.. :/
So I'd be basically repeating myself if I were to tell you that I wasn't as bad as I thought I'd be in printmaking.. :/
(:
But I guess the main point I'm trying to make is that, I crawled out of my comfort zone (very hesitantly!) and found something that I enjoy! Maybe not as much as drawing, but it's a start, you never know, I may start posting more prints and paintings!!! ^_^
love&sunshine!
